Seriously though. It helps so much and saves an astronomical amount of time when proofreading. Numerous publications also recommend the use of Grammarly so do yourself a favour and give it a go!

2. Tag wisely ✅

The use of tags helps navigate your article to your audience, your people. Think of it as a ticket to your article’s dream destination. Make sure you make the best out of the 5 you get; Be clear and specific.

Chose tags that relate to your writing and make sure they’re clear as well as concise. Instead of ‘’blogging,’’ more centred tags such as ‘’blogging for business’’ draw in a more tailored audience.

3. Include a bio, about section and profile picture ✅

Just like on any other app, these are vital things to include to jazz up your profile. People are much more likely to read your articles as well as follow you if you do as it looks like a complete, concise profile.

Think about it, would you follow someone with a lot of blank spots in their profile?

4. Customize your profile ✅

Going back to point 3, the more effort a person puts into their profile, the more likely it is to draw attention. Browse around the setting section on Medium and fiddle around for a while. There you’ll find font customizations, various layouts and even colours.
